Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Mali Binen, King's

Junior • Guard • Adana, Turkey

Averaged 25.7 points on 50% shooting in the Lions' three-game week; including a 23-point, 10 rebound double-double against Vaughn and a 34-point outburst against Central Penn.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Ajay Sharma, Vaughn

Forward • Guard • Queens, N.Y.

Averaged 18.5 ppg for the Warriors in their two HVIAC contests including 20 points while going 5-9 from distance against Kings College and 17 points on 7-10 shooting against Berkeley.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Essence Rayford, Five Towns

Senior • Guard • North Aurora, Ill.

The three-time Player of the Week averaged 18.5 points in a 1-1 week for Five Towns, including a 17-points showing with three three-pointers in a win over NCAA Division III Old Westbury.

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Jordan Tobin, Five Towns

Sophomore • Forward • Massapequa, N.Y.

Earns fifth weekly honor of the year behind a near double-double performance of 12 rebounds and nine points in a 1-1 week. Tobin pulled 12 boards in a win over Old Westbury and scored 12 points against Fisher.

The Queen's native scored a career-high 29 points on 10-15 shooting from the field and grabbed 12 rebounds against King's.

Jimmy Nguyen, King's • Men's Basketball

The junior helped King's to a 2-1 record in HVIAC conference games this week averaging 21 points per game as well as 4.7 assists per game. He shot 40% from beyond the arc.

Jesse Rasberry, Word of Life/Davis • Men's Basketball

Dropped 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting against North County to go with seven caroms and five steals.

Louis Roche, Vaughn • Men's Basketball

Averaged 18 points over a two-game span for the Warriors. The junior guard notched 12 points against King's and poured in 24 points against an unblemished Berkeley side.

Robert Williams, Five Towns • Men's Basketball

Scored a career-high with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds against Fisher; following it up with 13 points, four rebounds, four steals, and three blocks in a conference win against Culinary.

Noah Amet, Word of Life/Davis • Men's Basketball

Turned in a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to North County as he posted 16.5 points and 8.5 boards in a two-game span.

Jan Filip Jagielski, Five Towns • Men's Basketball

Jagielski notched his third double-double of the season against Fisher with 14 points and 11 rebounds, along with three steals.

Cyrus Sprague, Word of Life/Davis • Men's Basketball

Scored 15 points against North County and 10 against New England Baptist to average 12.5 points in a two-game stretch.

The freshman averaged 9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, including 17 points against Vaughn, as King's recorded a 2-1 record this week in HVIAC action.

Evan Taylor, Word of Life/Davis • Men's Basketball

Posted six points, two rebounds, and as many assists in the Huskies' loss to New England Baptist.
