Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Week #4)

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #4 of the 2022-2023 Men's and Women's Basketball season.

Marc Combs (Sr.,Guard) from Berkeley College scored in double figures and averaged 32 points, 6 rebounds in two wins for the Knights. Combs scored 29 points against UMFK and 35 points against CMCC.

Tariq Eubanks (Fr., Guard) from Villa Maria College earns Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week status for Week #4. Eubanks averaged an impressive 51.9% field goal percentage and 13.3 points for per game. The Vikings ended a three game stretch going 2-1.

Noteworthy honors go to, Reid Patchett (Sr., Forward) of SUNY ESF. Patchett averaged 20 points and 8 rebounds during the week. Christian Longerbeam (Fr., Guard) from The Kings College averaged 13 points per game scoring in double-digits in two Lions losses. Tyler Bond (Fr., Guard) of Five Towns College scored 13 points in a win against Vaughn College. And, Kedrick Lee (Fr. Guard) of the Culinary Institute of America averaged 9.5 points, 9 rebounds in two USCAA losses for the Steels.

On the Women's Basketball side of the HVIAC, the Student-Athletes listed below are honored for their outstanding play throughout the week.

Zanya Henderson (So. Guard) of Berkeley College has the honor of Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Henderson scored 8 points in back-to-back games for the Knights in to road losses to two USCAA Division II nationally ranked teams.

MJ Buck (Fr., Guard) from Word of Life Bible Institute. Buck posted two double-digit games last week in losses for the Huskies. She is averaging 10.1 points per game in first nine games of her intercollegiate basketball career earning her Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for Week #4.
