Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Week #7)

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #7 of the 2022-2023 Men's and Women's Basketball season.

Tahshon Moore (So.,Guard) from Berkeley College is Week #7 Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Moore averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals for the Knights in two victories over USCAA opponents.
 
Moussa Diaby (Fr., Forward) of Berkeley College earns Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week honors. Diaby averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds in back-to-back wins against USCAA opponents.

Noteworthy performances go to Paul Allen (So., Forward) from Five Towns College. Allen posted a double-double, 17 points and 22 rebounds, against the Culinary Institute of America. Micah Stamm (So., Guard) of the Word of Life Bible Institute scored 11 points, shooting 75% from beyond the 3 point arch in a loss to Berkeley College. And, Trent Massaro (Fr., Forward) from the Culinary Institute of America, scored 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in conference loss to Five Towns College.

On the Women's Basketball side of the HVIAC, the honerees are the following:

Beulah Dixon Blake (So., Guard) of Berkeley College earns the honor of Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Dixon Blake averaged 8.3 points, 4 rebounds, and shot an impressive 50% from beyond the 3 point arch, in back-to-back games for the Knights.

MJ Buck (FR., Guard) from the Word of Life Bible Institute earns Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time of the 2022-2023 Season. Buck scored 23 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished out 2 assists in a 44-40 victory over Berkeley College.
