Luise Bethencourt - Mount Saint Vincent

Three years ago, Mount Saint Vincent did not sponsor varsity tennis, and placed the program on a one-year hiatus in order to insure a long and healthy future for the program. It’s safe to say that the plan worked. Under the leadership of first year
Head Coach Luise Bethencourt, Mount Saint Vincent enjoyed a terrific 6-9 season in 2007, including a 3-3 record in HVWAC play. The Dolphins also enjoyed a fantastic day at the HVWAC Championships, finishing in third place - three points ahead of Pratt (who defeated MSV during the regular season) and only six points behind runner-up Sarah Lawrence. For outstanding leadership during her first season at the Mount Saint Vincent helm, Bethencourt was voted the 2007 HVWAC Coach of the Year.
