2010 Regular Season and Tournament Champions

Sarah Lawrence College

Sarah Lawrence College continues their dominance in tennis, repeating as regular season and tournament champions.  After finishing the regular season undefeated in conference play, the Gryphons produced six of the nine flight champions edging out a tough Pratt squad who remained in contention until the final doubles matches.

2010 Overall Indivdual Champion

Maria Quinteros  •  Pratt Institute
Sophomore   •  Guatemala City, Guatemala  

Quinteros capped a dominant year in singles capturing the #1 singles title.  In singles play, she posted a perfect 7-0 record, winning each match at love, until dropping her first two games of the season in the championship match.

2010 Coach of the Year

John Barston  •  Sarah Lawrence College

In his first year at the helm of the Gryphons, John Barston has been selected by his peers as the 2010 HVWAC Tennis Coach of the Year.  Barston guided Sarah Lawrence to a 7-1 record overall and continued the success the Gryphons had in conference play.
