NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Pratt earned a 3-1 win over Davis College after falling 3-0 to the host Blue Angels at the College of New Rochelle tri-match Saturday afternoon in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Cannoneers bested Davis 25-17 and 25-13 before falling 17-25 and rebounding to win the fourth set 25-16. In a rematch of last season's HVIAC Championship, in which New Rochelle narrowly escaped 3-2, the Blue Angels needed only three sets to knock of Pratt and remaining undefeated in league play at 3-0 (9-4 overall).

Outside hitter Madelyne Grabowski led Pratt in the loss to New Rochelle with four kills and a .133 attack percentage. No other Cannoneer earned more than one kill, and the team totaled 11 kills and 11 attack errors, with the Blue Angels hitting .240 as a team in the win.

Setter Alli Houghton dished out a season-high 31 assists, with all five other starters sending home six or more kills a piece in Pratt's 3-1 win over Davis. Hannah Calderwood led all players with 11 kills, three solo blocks, and one block assist, Charlotte Burch added eight kills and Grabowski chipped in with six.

Sophomore Abby Nagy totaled season highs of seven kills and five aces as the Cannoneers improved to 2-1 in HVIAC play, good for third place.

At 3-10 overall, Pratt returns to play on Saturday at the Centenary tri-match, first taking on Cabrini College at 2:30.
