Vargas led St. Joseph’s during their season-opening Florida trip at the Gene Cusic Classic going 6-for-15 (.400) at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored over the six-game stretch. The senior outfielder/pitcher picked up the Lady Bears first victory of the season in the circle going five innings against the University of Dallas, surrendering four earned runs on seven hits and helped her own cause at the plate by going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI.
