Vargas finished the week as the Lady Bears leading hitter going 9-for-15 (.600) at the plate with seven runs scored, three doubles, three triples and eight RBI over an eight-game stretch. The senior pitcher/outfielder had the game-winning, walk-off triple in St. Joseph's comeback win over Lehman, erasing an eight-run deficit. Vargas finished the week leading the Lady Bears with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .727 on base percentage. Vargas also threw a one-hitter in the circle against New Rochelle going five innings while striking out five for her fourth win of the season.
