Women's Soccer: King's 4, Sarah Lawrence 0; Albany Pharmacy 7, Sarah Lawrence 0

BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—In a disheartening weekend for the Gryphons, Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer lost to The King's College, 4-0, on Saturday and to Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, 7-0, on Sunday. Both contests were Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games.

On Saturday, King's (3-2, 1-1 HVIAC) drew first blood in the fifth minute and tacked on two more goals by halftime. The Lions added a fourth goal in the second half to secure the 4-0 shutout.

Sarah Lawrence (0-5, 0-1 HVIAC) tallied 10 shots in its conference opener, including six shots on goal. Sadie Zavgren(Wilton, N.H./Homeschooled) led the offense with three shots, while goalkeeper Addie Rosenberg (New York, N.Y./Fusion Academy) anchored the defense with 10 saves.

In Sunday's match against ACPHS (4-1-1, 2-0 HVIAC), the Gryphons were held to just one shot, coming from the foot of Kaylen Dornan (San Diego, Calif./High Tech High International) in the 69th minute. The Panthers were held to one score in the opening 45 minutes, but the second half saw ACPHS go on a six-goal scoring spree.
