For the second straight game center midfielder, Caroline Craddock, netted two goals including the game winner to lead the TKC Lady Lions to an important Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory. 19 minutes into the game Craddock took a feed from freshman forward, Genesis Castrellon, to open the scoring, and that would be all TKC would need en route to a 6-0 win over Yeshiva. Castrellon would score eight minutes later to open up a 2-0 lead. At halftime the coaches took a different approach with Coach Finley instructing the defense/goalkeeper, Coach Caseres the midfielders and Coach Kennedy the forwards on the different things they wanted to see from each group on the field. This seemed to pay off as the Lady Lions scored their fastest goal to start a half when Craddock connected for her second goal of the game just 47 seconds in off an assist from freshman Jessica Burchman. It was Burchman's first collegiate assist and first collegiate point. Seven minutes later Craddock would return the favor as she passed to Castrellon for a goal. Castrellon would score two more to finish with four goals and an assist for the night. Jordan Olson notched her first collegiate assist on Castrellon's final goal. Freshman forward Keyah Harvey's speed and tenacity kept Yeshiva's defense on its toes all night and forced several corner kicks, and Caitlin Essex took 7 shots all on goal. Voleak Sroeung provided strong work on the outside before leaving the game with a slight injury. The defense of Erika Hilliard, Annalise Bourgeois and Ariel Mouser was solid in allowing only three shots on keeper, Victoria McAlister, who made three saves and notched her third shutout of the season. The Lady Lions are now 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the HVIAC where they are in second place in the standings. Next up is another conference match-up on Saturday with Berkeley.
