FLUSHING, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback against Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent, the Culinary Institute on Sunday afternoon.
The Steels moved to 2-0 on the season, while the Cannoneers dropped to 0-7.
In doubles action, the top duo of Andrew Hyun and Hubert Chen took the Steels' to the brink, losing 8-6.
In singles action, Houlin Fan put together a gritty effort at the No. 4 spot as he fell 10-6, and in the sixth flight, Griffin Levine dropped his match 10-6 as well.
