NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Playing in a steady rain, The College of New Rochelle took a 3-1 lead into the final innings, before falling to Yeshiva University, 4-3 in an HVIAC game that was halted after five innings due to worsening playing conditions.

After a scoreless opening frame, the Macs grabbed the lead in the top of the second on a RBI single, and maintained the lead into the bottom of the fourth, before the Blue Angels rallied.

The rally began with one out.  Rosa Angeles singled home Kevona Jackson to knot the score at 1-1 before Caitlin Harrison drove home Sheila Conde with a single of her own.  In the ensuing at bat, Lyndsey Edwards provided CNR's third consecutive hit, as he single chased home Angeles to give the Blue Angels a 3-1 lead.

Three outs from the win, the Blue Angel lead proved to be short lived as Yeshiva countered with a three run top of the fifth on a two out double and a wild pitch.

Jackson singled for CNR with one out in the bottom of the fifth, but was doubled off first on a line drive by the next batter to end the comeback bid.
