Avila went underfeated on the week winning a pair of singles and doubles matches to lead the Knights to a 2-0 mark to open the season. In her matches at No. 1 singles vs. St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) and No. 2 singles vs. Vaughn, she dropped only one game in total.
