Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week - October 14, 2014
Melanie Lopez Soto, New Rochelle
Freshman • Setter • Gurabo, Puerto Rico/Notre Dame HS
Lopez played well in all phases of the game last
week. Playing setter in the Blue Angels’ 6-2 system, the
rookie handed out a team-high 53 assists and was third on the team
with 25 kills. The setter added 28 digs and seven aces on the
week as New Rochelle picked up two wins. The
freshman's week was highlighted in a win at Keystone College, where
she registered 14 assists, six kills, eight digs and three
aces.
