Women's Basketball: New Rochelle 80, King's 34

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -  The College of New Rochelle Women's Basketball team put together their best defensive performance of the season Tuesday night against The Kings College (NY) in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.  The result was a decisive 80-34 victory.  With the win, CNR finishes HVIAC regular season play at 5-1, while Kings now sits at 0-5.

The 46 point win was the largest margin of victory all season long, while 34 points was the lowest point total the Blue Angels have held their opponent to throughout the season.

Senior Jasmine Brandon (Jersey City, NJ) had an all-around type of night, pumping in 31 points and grabbing 11 boards.  She also added five steals and six assists. SophomoreHannah Cambel (Houston, TX) followed with 14 points, which included a 4-for-13 night from behind the arc. Freshmen Aaliyah Fields (Hollywood, MD) chipped in 13 points.  Sophomore Chasity Serrano (Middletown, NY) had a season-high nine points.

The Blue Angels were dominate in the paint, snagging 40 boards, which included 16 offensive rebounds.  Sophomore Caitlin Harrison (Bronx, NY) had a game-high 14 boards. 

CNR will round out the regular season when they host Pine Manor College on Saturday at 2pm.  They lost to the Gators 77-66 back on Jan 16 in Boston.
