Women's Basketball celebrated their seniors last Friday night, and they also ended up celebrating a win as they bested the Vaughn College Warriors 63-14. The Panthers now stand at 3-1 in the conference and have clinched the #2 seed in this year's HVIAC Women's Basketball Tournament.

During the contest, the Panthers thanked their three departing seniors for all of their contributions during their time with the Panthers. First came Corey Parker, a ACPHS soccer star who has appeared in 16 games this year. A basketball novice, she has developed her skills and become a valuable member of Coach Jackie Hotaling's bench this season. Next came Olivia Parmeter, a four-year starter who is averaging 9.1 points and 6.3 rebounds this season. The forward spent her career crashing the glass and putting pressure on opposing defenses with her strong jump-shot. Last but not least was Emma Webster, who has started all 75 games in her ACPHS career. Earlier this year she picked up her 1,000th collegiate point and currently sits fourth in the USCAA in points per game (19.0) and third in three-point percentage (40.7%) this season.

As for the game, Albany dominated from the opening whistle, going into halftime up 45-7. With audacious stat lines all-around, it was Webster who put up the best with 27 points on nine made threes. Parmeter wasn't far behind with 13 points and six rebounds. She went on to win HVIAC player of the week for her performance. Sophomore guard Clare Snell also stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, ten boards, eight steals and six assists.
