Women's Soccer: King's 7, Five Towns 1

Dix Hills, NY - The Five Towns College women's soccer team moves to 0-3 on the season after dropping a conference match to HVIAC opponent King's College (1-4) by a score of 7-1. The Lions controlled the pace of play as they outshot Five Towns 37-8 and held a 16-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Five Towns opened up the scoring in the 23rd minute. Carmella Davide took a shot from inside the 18-yard box which King's goalkeeper Eleanor Davis saved but was unable to control. Colleen Tyler knocked the ball away from the goalie and Davide was able to follow-up and find the back of the net.

King's tied it up in the 38th minute when Kaitlyn Simon scored unassisted for her first goal of the game. Hailey Hirst scored just 30 seconds later to put King's ahead 2-1 and Five Towns never regained the lead. Kaitlyn Simon ended the game with a hat trick for the Lions.

Five Towns goalkeeper Juliette Kealy had 17 saves in the effort.
