Women's Volleyball: Pratt 3, Culinary 0/Pratt 3, King's 0

BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's volleyball team (11-5) rolled to a three-match sweep in a home quad match, defeating the Culinary Institute, King's NY and Davis College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Pratt rolled in the first match of the day, beating the Culinary Institute, 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-17). Avery Toomes (Houston, TX) led the Cannoneers with 12 assists and four service aces. Elizabeth Hannah (Tampa, FL) added six kills while Rose Moon (Santa Fe, NM) added four kills and three digs.

In the second match of the day, Pratt blew by Davis College, 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-22).

Paola Beniquez (Carolina, Puerto Rico) had a dominating match for the Cannoneers, finishing with nine kills, eight digs, and six service aces. Deanna Colondona (Manorville, NY) added 16 digs and two assists. Badesim Kubak (Istanbul, Turkey) and Toomes combined for 27 assists.

Pratt continued its stellar day in the final match against King's NY, dominating in straight sets, 3-0 (25-12, 25-6, 25-17).

Beniquez set a career-high with 11 service aces. Madeline Markley (Minneapolis, MN) added a game-high 10 kills while Toomes added 15 assists.

The 35 points given up and six in the second set were the least amounts in a match this season by Pratt.

With the three wins, Pratt extends its winning streak to six games, its longest of the season.
