HVIAC Fall Championships Postponed to Spring

HVIAC Fall Championships Postponed to Spring
With the health and safety of our student-athletes a top priority and in accordance with the recently announced USCAA guidelines and adjustments pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will move all Fall Championships to the Spring of 2021.

This decision does not preclude member institutions from practice or competition in the fall semester. The USCAA has loosened restrictions on Bylaw 19.1, providing the membership the opportunity to spread out their schedules. Member institutions should adhere to all federal, state, and local mandates, regarding events, mass gatherings, and social distancing and follow USCAA regulations regarding competition and eligibility.

General Adjustments & Clarifications
  • Rescheduled dates and locations have not been set at this time but the HVIAC will target a Championship two weeks prior to the USCAA National Championship date.
  • Member institutions may schedule conference games in the fall semester, within the USCAA prescribed start and end dates.
    • If members choose to play multiple times during the academic year, the conference game must be set in advance, as determined by the participating members.
