Update Regarding 2020-21 Men's & Women's Basketball Seasons
NEW YORK — Given the unprecedented challenges presented by COVID-19 and keeping the health and safety of our student-athletes the top priority, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has canceled the conference regular season and championship for the 2020-21 men's and women's basketball seasons in a unanimous vote by the membership.

A decision has not been made yet regarding the status of the fall sport seasons that were previously postponed to the spring, but the HVIAC membership and executive board will continue to monitor path of the pandemic, local and state guidance, and trends in intercollegiate athletics with the anticipation of announcing a decision in the new year.

Last week, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced it has canceled USCAA National Championships in men's & women's basketball, men's & women's soccer, and women's volleyball.

Member institutions will retain autonomy regarding practice and non-conference competition — including playing conference members in non-conference contests — while adhering to federal, state, and local mandates and following USCAA regulations regarding competition, playing season, and eligibility.
