NEW YORK — The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference had previously announced in July that it would postpone the fall sports season to spring 2021. After further review and with a unanimous vote by the membership, the HVIAC will not formally conduct any conference competition for the 2020-21 academic year due to COVID-19. 

 

This decision was made with the health and safety of our student-athletes remaining top priority and factoring in the challenges faced by the membership in conducting a safe season for all. 

 

As with the cancelation of the winter conference season, member institutions will retain autonomy regarding practice and non-conference competition — including playing conference members in non-conference contests — while adhering to federal, state, and local mandates and following USCAA regulations regarding competition, playing season, and eligibility.
