Men's Basketball: Vaughn 75, Davis 66

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College men's basketball team squared off against Davis College on Wednesday, January 13. The Warriors got off to a hot start, but trailed the Davis College Falcons 36-28 at the half. With a seven game win streak riding on the line, the Warriors responded in the second half. Vaughn College would take the lead from Davis College and go up by as many as 12 points in the second half. Defensive pressure and timely baskets by the Warriors were critical down the stretch. The Warriors would go on to defeat the Falcons by a final score of  75-66.

Senior captain Moises Chaucer led the Warriors in points and rebounds in the contest. The Bronx native finished the game with 21 points and 14 rebounds, his sixth double-double of the season. 

Junior guard Maleec Taylor (Rockville Centre, NY) had his best game of the season against the Falcons. Taylor poured in 20 points, dished out four assists, and had four takeaways in the game. 

The win improves the Warriors record to 9-1 on the year. The Warriors will travel to New Hampshire on Friday, January 15, for a pair of games against the University of Maine Augustus and the New Hampshire Techinical Institute (NHTI).
