Brooklyn  – Kolby Brown's eighteen-foot jumper with two seconds remaining in regulation broke a 72-72 tie, as the Davis College Falcons upended Pratt men's basketball, 74-72, in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup at the Pratt ARC on Saturday afternoon in the first-ever matchup between the two programs.

Taking possession for the game's final eight seconds following a Cannoneer turnover, Joe Daniels was able to penetrate into the teeth of Pratt's 2-3 zone defense and found a wide-open Brown, who calmly stroked the game-winning jumper from just beyond the right elbow to give Davis the victory.

"We were looking to throw them off but we were forced into a help situation and the guy stepped up and made a clutch shot," said head coach Johnny Lee. "In a close game, you look back to all the mistakes you made and 15 turnovers were too much."

Sophomore Andrew Yaglenski (Frederick,MD/Urbana) completed a three-point play to give Pratt a 72-71 lead, capping a 5-0 run in the game's final minute. Daniels then made 1-of-2 from the free throw line to tie the game at 72. Pratt would call a timeout to set up a final play but had trouble inbounding the ball against tight defense from Davis, setting the stage for Brown's heroics.

Sophomore forward Tytus Millikan (Winnemuca, NV/Lowry) led all players with a career-high 25 points. Millikan added eight rebounds and Yaglenski added 20 points for the Cannoneers. The pair combined to shoot 7-for-14 from behind the arc for Pratt, which dropped its sixth straight game, falling to 4-9 overall and 0-6 in HVIAC.

Millikan's five three-pointers also marked a career-high for the sophomore.

"Tytus really found great spots on the floor today, and shot the ball with a ton of confidence," Lee added. "He not only shot the ball well from the outside, but played solid defense and really gave us a great chance to win by how he rebounded."

Led by 14 points from guard Spencer Bath, all five starters reached double figures for Davis, which won its second straight game and improved to 4-16 and 3-3 in HVIAC.

Daniels added 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and a game-high 10 assists.

In a game that saw 13 ties and 16 lead changes, it was a crucial 1:16 stretch that crossed over the intermission, which changed the complexion of the game.

After a see-saw opening ten minutes, Pratt went on a 14-8 run, taking a seven-point lead, 32-25, on an Isaac Green (St. Augustine, FL/St. Augustine) layup. The seven-point margin would mark the biggest lead for either team but Bath would answer with consecutive, open, three-pointers for Davis in the half's final thirty seconds to trim the Cannoneer lead to one at the intermission.

Following the break, Bath nailed his third consecutive three-point basket to again give Davis the advantage.

Davis would shot 64% in the second half (16-for-25), taking its largest lead at 63-57 with 6:07 to play before the Cannonners chipped away, finally regaining the lead on Yaglenski's three-point play.
