The ACPHS Men's Basketball team battled it out Friday night against HVIAC opponents Vaughn College. The contest was originally going to be played on Saturday, but was rescheduled to avoid the snow storm down state.

Even though Vaughn came away with the 84-70 win, the Panthers fought every minute. Despite being down by 16 at halftime, the Panthers never gave up. Head Coach, Brett Barnard said, "This year's team is a team that never gives up in any game. They could have given up but they fought hard and gave us a chance to win last night."

Sophomore Alex Johnson led the team with 27 points, 3 steals and 6 rebounds. David Mcentee dished out 11 assists, earned 13 points, nabbed three steals, and grabbed five rebounds.

Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers were Michael Beyer with 13 points and six rebounds, Brandon Votra with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Freshman Thomas Chalker had three points, and Justin Bressack got on the board with two points.

The Panthers return to action on Sunday at home in the Albert M White Gymnasium as they face the Mighty Oaks of SUNY ESF at 12pm.
