BROOKLYN, N.Y. — In a 1-0 loss to HVIAC opponent King's College, a Lions penalty kick in the 12th minute proved to be the decision-maker as both sides were held scoreless through the remainder of the game.

After a Lions player was tripped up in the box, Edvin Loefgren stepped up to take the penalty kick and finished lower-left past goalkeeper Mouhamed Diop Dia. Diop Dia had nine saves in tonight's game and has allowed just three goals in six games this season, all of which have come from penalty kicks. He posts a .909 save percentage, and is second in the HVIAC in save percentage and goals-against average.

Playing down four starters as a result of red cards from last week's game, Five Towns held their own through 90 minutes against a strong King's College team. King's goalie Olivier Saye had two saves for the evening, both off shots from Five Towns' Luis Mendez. The Sound had just two shots on goal for the night but hit the crossbar multiple times. Mendez took a shot off a set piece from 30 yards out in the 21st minute that rattled off the crossbar before being controlled by the goalkeeper.
