Men's Volleyball: Yeshiva 3, St. Joseph's 1

BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The Yeshiva men's volleyball team picked up another win on Tuesday and stayed undefeated in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) play after a 3-1 win over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.
 
The win, Yeshiva's fourth in a row, improves the Maccabees to 5-9 (4-0 HVIAC), while St. Joseph's-Brooklyn is now 3-9 (1-2 HVIAC).
 
The visiting Maccabees made quick work of the host Bears by taking the first two games to jump ahead 2-0. Yeshiva won the first game 25-18 and the second game 25-20. But the Bears did not go away quietly as they took the third game26-24 to keep the match going. Then in the fourth set, Yeshiva came away with a narrow 25-23 win.
 
Yeshiva was led by Menachem Goldstein with 16 kills, eight digs and three service aces, whileJared Rechnitz had 15 kills, 15 digs and two service aces. Adam Rhodes had 45 assists, whileJorge Dabah had three kills and 10 digs.
 
St. Joseph's-Brooklyn was led by Raul Urshela with 14 kills and 10 digs, while Taso Kostikas had six kills and 19 digs for the Bears.
