Johnson City, NY – A 22-6 third-quarter advantage by Davis College proved to be the difference as the Pratt Institute women's basketball team fell to the Falcons, 62-56 in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Conference play Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Emily Guerra led the Cannoneers with 17 points and double-doubles by Amissa Epperson (13 points, 11 rebounds) and Idalia Kaplan (11 points, 10 rebounds) wasn't enough as Davis College outscored the visitors 33-22 after intermission to escape with a close conference victory.

The hosts were led by freshman Brooke Lewandowski who posted 15 points and 14 rebounds as Davis College (10-11, 4-6) jumped to third in conference standing while the loss sees Pratt (4-6, 1-2) drop outside the top four of the HVIAC standing as the last month of the season approaches.

Pratt has a quick turnaround as they continue their road trip tomorrow against conference foe Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Science at noon.
