NEW ROCHELLE, NY -  The College of New Rochelle women's basketball team rounded out Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 66-56 win over Pratt Institute Monday night in the Wellness Center.  New Rochelle now stands at 11-8 overall and 5-1 in the league.  Pratt drops to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in league play.

CNR will be the 2nd season in this weekends postseason tournament.  It marks the 4th straight year for the Blue Angels in the HVIAC playoffs.  Last year they bowed out in the championship to Albany Pharmacy.

The Blue Angels were spurred by the play of junior Caitlin Harrison (Bronx, NY) who racked up 17 points and 15 boards for her 2nd double-double of the season, while freshmen Dar'Neisha Brice (Lexington Park, MD) hit for 30 points, missing a double-double by one board as she snagged nine.

Pratt remained pesky throughout the first half, trailing CNR by only three at the half, 30-27.  Harrison and junior Chelsea Thomas (Bronx, NY) helped push CNR's lead to 10 in the third on buckets. Pratt remained within three possessions into the fourth until Brice pushed the lead to 11 with a three-pointer.  After closing it back to eight, Pratt watched as Thomas hit a three of her own to end any threat of a comeback with just over 3:00 to play.

CNR will host Dean College on Wednesday as a prep for the upcoming HVIAC tournament on Saturday.  The Blue Angels have secured the 2nd seed, despite being tied with Albany Pharmacy for the regular season title.  Albany owns the head to head.  CNR will play Davis.
