BROOKLYN -- Pratt Institute won the last three sets after falling behind 1-0, opening 2015 with a 3-1 win over visiting Yeshiva University in the Cannoneers first Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) men's volleyball match in program history.

Sophomore David Cutler led all players with 15 kills and added a team-best 17 digs. Freshman Brandon Ryan added a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs in his Pratt debut, and four of Connan Moody's eight kills helped close out the Cannoneers (1-0, 1-0 HVIAC) Game 4 win.

Benjamin Mann led the Maccabees (1-2, 0-1 HVIAC) with 12 kills to go along with 10 digs, and Koyla Miller added 10 kills and nine digs.

Yeshiva compiled its best attack percentage of the night, hitting .200 in its opening set win. A Ryan kill put Pratt on top 16-15, but Jorge Dabah tied the set with a kill and a Moody attack error handed the Maccabees a lead the team never relinquished in its 25-22 Game 1 victory.

Pratt fell behind 3-0, but took its first lead of Game 2 on a Meijun Cai service ace at 6-5. From there, the Cannoneers never trailed, with a Cutler kill handing Pratt its largest lead to date at 17-12. Back-to-back kills from Cutler later upped the margin to 19-15 as his team went on to a 25-19 win, tying the match 1-1.

Trailing 11-9 in Game 3, Pratt used a 5-0 run capped by a Matthew Valentine service ace to take a 14-11 lead. A Cutler kill later put the Cannoneers on top 22-16, and Arsovski's kill crowned the team's 25-18 win.

In Game 4, another Arsovski kill snapped a 5-5 tie, and with Yeshiva back within a point, a Chris Fantin kill provided some breathing room at 16-14. Moody took over from there, throwing down four kills in Pratt's final five points to clinch the match with a 25-17 win.

Fantin handed out 30 assists for Pratt, while Dabah distributed 31 for Yeshiva.

Pratt returns to the court Thursday night at 7:30, taking on Purchase College in non-conference play.
