Gabe Haber Named Yeshiva Head Women's Soccer Coach

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva University Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Gabe Haber as head women's soccer coach.
 
Haber joins the Maccabees' program after having served as as assistant men's soccer coach at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan, an NAIA Institution in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) from 2012-14.

"I am very excited to join the Yeshiva University athletics family," said Haber. "I am looking forward to growing the women's soccer team and taking it to new heights."
 
Haber's coaching experience also includes stints with Ypsilanti Community High School girls soccer team, Arbor Prep Girl's High School and Eastern Michigan University men's and women's club soccer teams. His experience also includes Chelsea Soccer Club U8 Girls and U8 Boys as well as Milan Soccer Club summer camp U7-U15.
 
Prior to that, Haber, a 2009 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, was a four year member of the University's club soccer team. While there he served as team captain. Upon graduation, earning his degree in Criminology, he stayed aboard as club president and assistant coach while a graduate student there. He earned his master's degree in Criminology in 2012.
 
"Gabe is going to be a wonderful addition to the program. He brings with him experience on many levels of soccer and will no doubt quickly put his stamp on this team," said Yeshiva Director of Athletics, Joe Bednarsh. "Greg has experience with developing both technical and tactical training and there is no doubt that we will see the benefits of that on the pitch."
 
The Yeshiva women's soccer team is set to get underway on Friday, August 29 for a contest at Lehman College at noon.
