Women's Basketball: Albany Pharmacy 80, Vaughn 12

Albany, N.Y. -- The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences women's basketball team defeated the visiting Vaughn College Warriors by a final score of 80-12 on Saturday afternoon at Albert M. White Gymnasium. Pharmacy improves its record to 12-2 with the win, 3-1 in HVIAC conference play.

The Panthers began the game on a 20-0 run, and took a 41-4 lead into halftime. The Warriors struggled to maintain control of the ball all game, committing 36 turnovers leading to 30 fastbreak points for ACPHS. Alexa Schooley spearheaded the defensive effort for Pharmacy, recording 7 steals in the first half alone.

Miranda Costin led a balanced Pharmacy attack with 18 points in 25 minutes off the bench. Each Panther who saw action in the game scored.
