BROOKLYN -- Pratt Institute finished its regular season undefeated in league play, improving to 8-3 overall with a 9-0 win over Berkeley College in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Thursday night at the ARC.

HVAIC Rookie of the Week Amanda Twu knocked off Ekaterina Zharkova 10-7 in No. 1 singles competition. The freshman paired with sophomore Melanie Kania for an 8-2 win over Zharkova and Marisol Munoz in top doubles. Kania, meanwhile, won every set in her 10-0 triumph of Munoz.

Reigning league Rookie of the Week Haddie Webster was also flawless, taking care of Ayashati Vernon 10-0. Fellow freshman Cory Marks and sophomore Neeka Gilardian earned a quick 8-0 win over Vernon and Stephanie Kiu-Tse in second doubles, whom Gilardian beat 10-1 in third singles.

Now winners of four of the last five HVIAC regular season crowns and owners of the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, the 8-3 Cannoneers open the postseason on Wednesday at the ARC against Berkeley (0-3, 0-2 HVIAC).
