HYDE PARK, NY – The Pratt Institute women's volleyball team swept their tri-match on Sunday to improve to 6-2 (2-0 HVIAC) on the season. With the wins, Pratt has now extended their winning streak to six matches and sits alone atop the conference standings.

Match 1 | Pratt 3, Culinary 1: The outside hitting combination of Emelen Mikelicand Marlena Todd combine for 23 kills and 21 digs as the visiting Cannoneers bested the Steels 25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 25-14.

Setter Alivia Senevoravong continued running an efficient offense and set a new career-best by tallying 45 during the four-set victory. Middle blocker Cori Gliddenalso established a persona-best with nine kills, while Julia Kubak hit for nine kills on just 13 swings, good for a team-best .615 hitting percentage.

On the defensive side, libero Hannah Lee led Pratt with 16 digs. The tandem of Glidden and Kubak tallied three blocks as the Cannoneers limited Culinary to a mere .081 hitting percentage for the match.

The Steels were paced by Marcela Andonie's 11 kills.    

Match 2 | Pratt 3, King's College 1: After dropping the opening set, Pratt quickly regrouped and downed the Lions of King's College 16-25, 25-10, 25-18, 25-22 to secure a non-conference win and sweep the tri-match.

Marlena Todd again led the attack, hitting for 14 kills, while defensively contributing 21 digs. Alivia Senevoravong notched 31 assists, and Oliver Buika, seeing an increased role, registered a personal-best seven kills and two blocks for the Cannoneers.

Pratt also continued their season-long effective service game by hitting for 16 aces, led by 10 from Emelen Mikelic.

For the Lions, Isabelle Sandmeyer led all players with 18 kills in defeat.

Following his team's victory, coach Louis Sepulveda spoke in high regards about several aspects of the Cannoneers game.
