Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Week #11)

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #11 of the 2022-2023 Men's and Women's Basketball season.

Julio Wallace (So., Guard) from Berkeley College is named Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Wallace averaged 16 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists as the Knights improve to 14-10, 6-0 HVIAC.

Tyler Bond (Fr.,Guard) of Five Towns College earns the honor of Rookie of the Week in Week #11. Bond averaged 15 points, snatched 3.5 rebounds, and shot 57% from the field as the Sound split games 1-1 against HVIAC opponents.

Notable performances, Karranja Bright (Fr., Forward) averaged 16 points and 4 rebounds for Berkeley College. Paul Allen (So., Forward) of Five Towns College averaged 14.5 points, 9 rebounds, and shot 42% from the field. Quentin Lackey (So.,Forward) from Word of Life Bible Institute averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and shot 45% from the field. And, Davion Only-Going (Jr., Forward) from the Culinary Institute of America dropping 8 points and grabbing 9 boards for the Steels.

Selections on the Women's Basketball side of the HVIAC are the following:

Amal (Cammy) Mahmoud (Sr., Forward) of Berkeley College earns the recognition of Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Week #11. Mahmoud averaged 19.3 points, 12 rebounds, and 1.3 assists over the course of three games. The Knights went 1-2 during the week.

MJ Buck (FR., Guard) from the Word of Life Bible Institute earns Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third time of the 2022-2023 Season. Buck scored 12 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and shot 46% from the field in a Huskies loss to HVIAC opponent, Villa Maria College.
