Men's Basketball: Vaughn 107, King's 28

QUEENS, N.Y. - The men's basketball team hosted the Kings College Lions for their second annual Pink Nation game on Wednesday, February 4. The Warriors came into the game 2-2 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC), seeking their third conference win. Willis Prezzy poured in 19 points and pulled down six rebounds.Michael Pena connected on five triples, on 50 percent shooting. Pena finished the game with 19 points and six steals. Maleec Taylor (Rockville Centre, NY) and Robert Williams(Bakersfield, CA) chipped in 11 points and 10 points respectively.

The Warriors' focus and commitment on the defensive end was a huge catalyst for their success all game. Limiting the Lions field goal attempts allowed the Warriors to get out in transition and convert easy scoring opportunities. They were able to feast in the paint, scoring 54 points from close range. The bench was very active, as each Warrior was able to participate in the game. The Warriors' bench contributed 44 points, the highest bench production this season.

The men's basketball team looks to keep their win streak going when they take on Landmark College on Friday, February 6 at the Elmcor Recreation Center. The game is scheduled to be played at 8 p.m.
