BROOKLYN -- Guard Andrew Yaglenski scored 30-plus points for the second straight day, leading a nine-point comeback as Pratt held on for a 64-61 win.

The freshman connected for 31 points on 12-22 shooting to go along with eight rebounds and four assists as the Cannoneers erased a pair of nine-point holes and secure the lead for the final 19-plus minutes. Fellow freshmen Tytus Millikan and Adam Blufarb added 14 and 13 points, respectively, each hauling in nine rebounds as Pratt improved to 7-10 (1-5 HVIAC).

King's took a nine-point lead at 15-6 on a Josh Sampson three-pointer at the 10:30 mark of the first half. The Cannoneers chipped away, staving off multiple Lions chances at extending to double digits, as a Yaglenski three-point play three minutes later cut the margin to 19-14. His three-pointer with 1:20 left in the half trimmed the deficit to four, at 29-25, and a Millikan layup on a feed from Yaglenski at the 1:00 mark made it a 29-27 game at halftime.

Yaglenski continued his tear out of halftime, converting another three-point play 54 seconds into the second in giving Pratt its first lead at 32-31 and assisting on another Millikan lay-in on the Cannoneers next possession. Blufarb upped the margin to nine, picking off a Caleb Trowburst pass at midcourt and coasting in for two, making it a 40-31 game with 16:30 to play. After King's cut the lead to three, Yaglenski answered with a triple from the top of the key and his third three-point play, upping the lead back to nine.

King's trimmed the lead to three multiple times and to within two at 62-60 on a Trowburst jumper with 2:20 to play. With 1:02 to play and two seconds on the shot clock, Blufarb spotted Millikan on a bounce pass on an inbounds from under the Cannoneers basket for a layup, putting Pratt ahead 64-60. Blufarb and JT Kim each missed a pair of free throws, leaving the door open for a potential game-tying three-pointer in the final seconds, but Josiah Chapman's try from the corner bounced off the side of the backboard and out of bounds.

For the Lions (2-13, 0-6 HVIAC), James Brooks led the way with 19 points, and Trowburst tallied 13 points and 13 rebounds.

For Yaglenski, the 31 points is one short of his career high, set Sunday at the Culinary Institute of America. After his last two games, the freshman shooting guard has taken over the HVIAC scoring lead at 17.2 points per game.
