Freshman Daniel Fuenzalida scored his first collegiate goal sixteen minutes into the game and that goal would be the only score of the game as TKC defeated the Berkeley College Knights in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest.

Despite being outshot 31-8 the TKC defense made the lone goal stand as the team notched its fourth shutout of the season. The young but stingy TKC defense was solid once again in front of freshman goalkeeper Richard Christensen as he stopped all 8 of the shots on goal he faced.

The result improves TKC's overall record to 3-4-1 and 2-2 in the HVIAC while Berkeley falls to 2-7 overall and 2-2 in HVIAC play.

The Berkeley College New York men's soccer team had plenty of opportunities to score on Wednesday evening, but the Knights were unable to cash in on those chances, as they fell to the Lions of The King's College (NY) in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest by a score of 1-0 at Aviator Field in Brooklyn.

The defeat – a potentially crushing blow for the Knights – dropped Berkeley to 2-7 on the season, and 2-2 in league play. The King's College improved to 3-4-1 on the year, and 2-2 in conference action.

From an offensive standout, the Knights dominated the match, peppering shots towards the Lions' goal all evening long. In the opening session alone, Berkeley College out-shot The King's College by a count of 21-5, yet it was the Lions' Daniel Fuenzalida accounting for the lone goal of the session and the match, as he notched an unassisted tally at 16:24 to give his team the lead for good.

In the second stanza, the Knights out-shot the Lions by a count of 10-3, but The King's College's defense tightened up – especially late in the contest. The Lions didn't allow a Berkeley College shot attempt in the final 9:16 of the contest.

Osvin Videz Vasquez took the loss in net for Berkeley College. He faced just three shots on the evening, allowing the one goal and making two saves. Lions netminder Richard Christiansen recorded a shutout, stopping eight shots on the night.
