EDISON, N.J.—After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer rallied to defeat The King's College (N.Y.), 3-1, in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Wardlaw Hartridge School on Saturday.

The King's College (1-8, 0-3 HVIAC) struck first blood, scoring on a goal by Peter Murphy in the 18th minute.

After 35 minutes of scoreless play, Sarah Lawrence (2-6, 2-2 HVIAC) struck back when Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) netted his fifth goal of the season, assisted by Roland Wynter (New York, N.Y./Lower Manhattan Arts Academy).

Wynter came through less than 10 minutes later, as the rookie found the back of the net with the would-be game-winning-goal, his second score of the season, to give SLC a 2-1 advantage.

In the 66th minute, rookie Tahmid Munat (Dhaka, Bangladesh/Notre Dame) added an insurance goal, netting his first collegiate career goal, to clinch the 3-1 victory for the Green and White.

Between the pipes, SLC keeper Elliott Warkus (Waimea, Hawai'i/Parker School) notched nine saves in the game, while TKC's Connor Christensen tallied eight stops at his end of the field.

The Gryphons host HVIAC foe St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on Wednesday. Doubleheader action kicks off with a women's game at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.
