Conference Sends Two Teams to USCAA National Soccer Championships

NEW YORK – The two top-seeded Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference soccer teams will represent the league at the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference National Championships opening quarterfinal play today at WVU Tech in Charleston, West Virginia.

The Berkeley College Knights men's soccer team (15-3) has earned the program's first bid to the national tournament and will be the No. 6 seed playing local rival No. 3 seed Briarcliffe College, the defending national champions.

The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences women's soccer team (11-2-1), national semifinalists last year, have also earned a No. 6 seed and will play No. 3 seed Florida College.

The USCAA National Soccer Championships is a 10-team, single-elimination tournament, with the championship set to conclude on Saturday, November 2nd.
