HYDE PARK, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was defeated by Culinary Institute of America, 7-1, in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at CIA Soccer Field on Sunday.

Sarah Lawrence (3-8, 3-3 HVIAC) put its only goal on the scoreboard when junior Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) netted his team-leading eighth score of the season. CIA (8-3, 5-1 HVIAC) ran away with the game, scoring seven goals to clinch the win.

Headed into the final week of conference play, Culinary joins Berkeley College (N.Y.) and Albany Pharmacy as the three teams who have clinched spots in the four-team HVIAC Men's Soccer Championship.

On Thursday, Sarah Lawrence and Vaughn College (3-5, 2-3 HVIAC) will play a winner-take-all game to earn the No. 4 tournament berth. Action kicks off at Tibbetts Brook Park at 9 p.m.
