Men's Soccer: New Rochelle 3, Culinary 1

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The College of New Rochelle Men's Soccer team improved their conference record to 3-1-1 after a win over The Culinary Institute of America on Sunday afternoon. The CIA Steels fall to 2-4 in conference with the loss.

The Blue Angels scored the first goal of the game in the 17th minute of the first half by Freshman David Corredor. The assist came from Freshman Juan ArboledaArboleda and Corredor worked together again in the 20th minute to find the net, advancing the lead to 2 - 0. That time Arboleda scored while Corredor dished out the assist.

CNR kept their foot on the gas pedal as the start of the second half began with a goal by Sophomore Cesar Rodriguez, he was a assisted by Xavier Cruzata. His goal brought the score to 3 - 0. The Steels answered back soon after with a goal from Sebastian in the 55th minute of the second half. Neither team would find the net again in the second half leaving the score at 3 - 1.

Freshman Goal Keeper Elijah Robinson had an outstanding performance recording five saves for the Blue Angels.

The Blue Angels next match is against conference opponent The Kings College on Wednesday, October 11 at Flowers Park in New Rochelle with a kick off at 8:00 PM.
