NEW YORK, NY – Pratt Institute men's soccer dropped their Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest to the Steels of Culinary Institute 3-1 at Randall's Island on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless start to the match, Culinary struck first, as Diego Combe beat Jack Foster to make it 1-0 Steels. Pratt would answer minutes later, as Miles Wright's through ball found Michael South, who then found the back of the net to make it 1-1 in the 34th minute.

In the second half, scoring chances lessened as both defenses dictated play. At the 75-minute mark, Culinary's William Brumbaugh buried a cross from Combe, with the Steels regaining the lead 2-1. A third Culinary goal in stoppage time made the final 3-1.

With the results, Pratt falls to 2-10-1 on the season, while Culinary improves to 6-4.

Prior to the match, Pratt athletics recognized the efforts of their two senior members playing the final home game of their careers – Jack Nimmo and Robert Fraguada.
