Senior striker Mina Girgis (Canyon Country, CA / John Burroughs HS) netted a hat trick on his own senior day on Sunday, part of Men's Soccer's 7-0 drubbing of Pratt Institute. The win pushed APCHS to 6-1-1 in the HVIAC which was good enough for 2nd place in the conference.

This one was all Panthers from the get-go, with sophomore Austin Myers (Morrisonville, NY / Saranac High) starting the scoring in just the 7th minute. Girgis and Myers scored the next two Panther goals in the 19th and 21st minutes, while Girgis scored the next two to complete his hat trick. With his three goals, Girgis moved into 2nd place on the all-time scoring list for the Panthers with 48.

The final goals were scored by senior Kyle Jenkins (Holbrook, NY / Sachem East High School) and sophomore Noah Keith (Rotterdam, NY / CBA). Myers added two assists throughout the day, while Girgis also chipped in an assist for good measure. ACPHS attempted 41 shots and held their opponents to just one. Senior Matt Houlihan(Levittown, NY / Kellenberg Memorial High School) did not make a single save, but earned the win and improved his season tally to 10-4-1.

Albany's second-place finish pits them against third-place Berkeley in the HVIAC semi-final on Saturday, October 28th. The winner will face either SUNY-ESF or the College of New Rochelle in the tournament championship the following day. All games will take place in Albany, on ACPHS Field.
