Albany, N.Y. – 15 different members of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences women's soccer team scored a goal in Sunday's 15-0 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Medgar Evers at the ACPHS Soccer Field. Freshman striker Kayli Smith handed out three assists for the second day in a row.

The Panthers improved to 6-1-1 overall and 4-0 in HVIAC play while the Cougars dropped to 0-8 (0-3 HVIAC). This is the second year in a row that the ACPHS-MEC match has ended in a 15-0 win for the Panthers.

Freshman midfielder Rachael Spina set the tone just 25 seconds into the contest as she took one-touch passes from freshman Olivia Dubois and senior Megan Serley and buried the ball past MEC goalkeeper NaToya Primus. Seven more goals would follow before the first half hour expired as ACPHS put the contest out of reach early.

Due to Medgar Evers dressing just nine players for the match, the Panthers spent much of the first half playing only eight women in response and the entire second half with only seven players on the pitch. The match was stopped after 70 minutes as darkness approached.

Smith was one of seven Panthers to record at least one goal and one assist. Serley, Spina and freshman Miranda Costin combined on the shutout in net without facing a shot. Primus recorded 13 saves for the Cougars.

ACPHS will next face HVIAC rival Berkeley College at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 5 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
