With Game 2 knotted at 7-7, a Hannah Calderwood (Clinton, WA/South Whidbey) kill on a feed from Houghton pulled the Cannoneers on top 8-7, but a 7-0 Blue Angles run aided by four Pratt errors distanced New Rochelle in its 25-11 win.

Lezama and Burch combined on a block assist in Game 3, putting the Cannoneers on top 2-1, and with Pratt leading 11-10, three of Armstrong's match-best five services aces ignited an 11-0 New Rochelle run that sealed the visitors' 25-13 win.

BROOKLYN, NY – The College of New Rochelle improved to 2-0 in HVIAC play following a 3-0 road victory over Pratt Institute Tuesday night at Pratt ARC.

Junior co-captain Meghan King recorded her fifth double, a career-high, totaling a match-high 11 kills to go along with 10 digs.  HVIAC Rookie of the Week Indigo Flowers added a match-high 19 assists, while fellow rookies Tiany Perez Diaz (match-high 17) and Marissa Armstrong (16) each reached double digits in digs.

The Blue Angel defense kept the Cannoneers off-balance all night, holding the Pratt offense to negative hitting percentage in each set and limiting HVIAC Player of the Week Alli Houghton to nine assists and ten digs, while keeping her out of the kill column.

The opening set saw the Blue Angels score seven of the first eight points and used a 5-0 run midway through the set to take a commanding 18-8 lead en route to a 25-15 win.

With the score tied at eight in a tight early second set, CNR surged again, outscoring Pratt 10-1, kicked off by three straight aces from Perez Diaz, to open up an 18-9 lead.  The Blue Angels did not allow the Cannoneers to rebound, taking the second set, 25-11.
