Men's Soccer: Vaughn 5, King's 1

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season against Kings College on Wednesday, September 16. Both Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) teams entered the game with no wins on the season. The Warriors got out to a fast start, taking a 3-0 lead into half time. The Warriors would add two more goals in the second half to secure a 5-1 victory over the Lions of Kings College. 

Warriors' captain Amir Karim (Brooklyn, NY) picked up his first goal of the season, scoring in the 22 minute in the first half. Freshman Denis Moshchenko scored two goals in the game, one goal assisted by Alfred Dwamena (Brooklyn, NY). Moshchenko has scored at least one goal in every game for the Warriors this season. 

The win brings the Warriors' record to 1-2 on the year and 1-0 in the HVIAC. The men's soccer will be back in action when they face SUNY Martime next Wednesday, September 23 .
