Men's Soccer: Albany Pharmacy 10, Davis 0; Albany Pharmacy 1, SUNY ESF 0

Sophomore Keeper Matt Houlihan recoreded his 4th shutout in a row on Sunday, tallying 6 on the season so far. The Panthers were able to go 2-0 on the weekend thanks in part to Houlihan's efforts in goal.

Saturday's game versus HVIAC opponent Davis College saw the Panthers score 10 goals, outshooting Davis 20-4.Mina Girgis scored 4 goals, Zak Giorgi had 2, and rounding out the scoring for the Panthers were Alexander Perry-FerrariRyan MackReid LaPlante and Kyle Jenkins who each added a goal. 

The Panthers travelled to Syracuse on Sunday to face another HVIAC opponent, SUNY ESF. Play was even throughout the entire game with both teams having opportunities to score but keepers on both sides came up big. It wasn't until the 44th minute of the first half that Jack Hanlon converted a penalty kick to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead they would hang onto for the remainder of the game.

Sunday's win against SUNY ESF marks the first time the men's soccer team has ever defeated the Mighty Oaks since the match up started in 2012. 

The Panthers improve to 8-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They will travel to Vaughn College on Sunday, October 4th for 12pm conference match.
