BROOKLYN – Highlighted by Anna Bryce's triple-double and Idalia Kaplan's career performance, the Cannoneers of Pratt Institute earned their first Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win of the season, a 76-38 drubbing of the Vaughn College Warriors on Thursday evening at the ARC.

Bryce, a senior, concluded the evening with 30 points – a career best – 14 assists, 11 rebounds and six steals. Kaplan tied a season-high by scoring 19 points, while her 20 rebounds stands as a personal best. Amissa Epperson scored 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting and collected five blocks as Pratt snapped their six-game skid and leveled their HVIAC conference mark at 1-1.

Defensively, Sade Jackson's squad frustrated Vaughn from the opening tip, allowing the Warriors to shoot just 22.7-percent (15-66), including just 2-of-16 from beyond the arc. For the game, the Cannoneers shot 33-74 (44.6%) from the field, their best performance of the season.

After racing out to a 10-0, Pratt' shooting went cold, allowing Vaughn to cut the lead to five, 12-7, leading to a Pratt timeout. As play resumed, four consecutive points from Anna Bryce, followed by a trio of Amissa Epperson layups, increased the Cannoneers lead to double digits, as they would cruise to half leading 31-17.

Pratt would begin the second half by going on a 21-0 run which increased their lead to 35, essentially putting the game out of reach. Idalia Kaplan scored 11 of her 19 points in the fourth as the Cannoneers coasted to the 76-38 victory.
