BROOKLYN – Amissa Epperson scored 12 of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter, as Pratt pulled away from the Albany Pharmacy Panthers, 55-45, in their Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup. With the victory, Pratt needs only a win over HVIAC rival King's College on February 15 to secure a conference playoff berth.

"Defensively we were great today," remarked head coach Sade Jackson following the victory. "We held a very good shooting team to just 25% from the field and only 18% from three. Offensively we took care of the ball and valued our possessions, which we've been preaching all season. Right now we are playing our best basketball."

Epperson's 24 points led all scorers, while Anna Bryce registered her tenth double-double of the season by pouring in 15 points and pulling down 15 rebounds. Emily Guerra enjoyed her best game thus far, scoring 12 points and grabbing eight rebounds, while her six assists led all players.

Olivia Parmeter led the Panthers with 21 points.

With the score tied at 37-37 early in the fourth quarter, Kathy Neblett's jumper put the Cannoneers' offense in motion. A trifecta of Epperson buckets extended the lead to seven points, although an Albany Pharmacy layup on their next possession kept it a two-possession game. Emily Guerra and Anna Bryce would register back-to-back layups that pushed the Prat advantage to nine. The Cannoneers would ice the game at the free throw line –  hitting three in the game's final minute –  to claim this crucial conference game.

UP NEXT – The Cannoneers travel to take on Cooper Union on Friday, February 9 at 6:45 pm in non-conference play.
