NEW ROCHELLE, NY - All 14 players found the scoring column for the College of New Rochelle Men's Basketball team in a dominating team performance Friday night. The result was a 91-48 win over The King's College (NY) in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
Three players hit for double-figures, led by junior Jack Tisdale(Dayton, OH) with 13 points. Freshmen Kobe Tellford (Brooklyn, NY) hit for 11 points, and Jermaine Brathwaite (Brooklyn, NY) added 10 points - a season-best. Freshmen Gabriel Hernandez (Yonkers, NY) grabbed 10 boards, which was his best this season.
CNR, which doubled up the Lions 52-26 at the half, 33.3% from behind the arc on the night and racked up 15 steals, led by Brathwaite and Tellford with three each.
Stats of the game:
* CNR had an impressive 26 points off put-backs and 30 off turnovers.
* Not only did CNR have every play score at least a point, but also every player had at least one rebound.
* The Lions Trivette Knowles swatted away a game-best three shots on defense.
* The Lions Matt Soltis carried his team, scoring 1/2 of the points, with 24.
CNR will be right back on the court tomorrow when they travel to play The New School at Pratt Institute.
